Q6: How do I set the default input language and switch between input methods? (Windows Vista, English Version)
1. Set default input language
Step 1: Click [ Start ]/[ Control Panel ], and select [ Regional and Language Options ]
Step 2: On the[ Keyboards and Languages ]tab, click [ Change keyboards ] as shown below.
Step 4: On the[ General ]tab under "Default input language" select[ Chinese (Taiwan)- Chinese (Traditional)- US Keyboard ], or you may choose another Chinese input method such as New Phonetic or Cangjie, as shown below. This will allow the user to avoid problems when typing Chinese characters.
2. Switch input methods
To display Chinese characters properly, click the icon on the lower right-hand corner of the desktop, then left click on the area circled in red as shown in the lower left figure. Select "CH Chinese (Taiwan)".
To switch between Chinese input methods, click the icon on the lower right-hand corner of the desktop, then left click on the area circled in red as shown in the lower right figure. Ex: To switch to New Phonetic, select "Chinese (Traditional)-New Phonetic".
